Linda Merrill
Hello from your President

Well another winter has almost come and gone. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. January is moving along pretty good, and pretty soon it will be time for the Hagerman Gathering. I am looking forward to seeing everyone again.

I had a neck surgery the week before Thanksgiving and it turned out to be a little more than I had planned on. I went in to get a loose screw fixed, now I'm sure you already figured that was just normal for me. But I really did have a loose screw in my neck. Well they fixed it and found that my 3rd and 4th vertebra was closing off my spinal cord. The Dr. fixed that also, and it has been kind of a nasty recovery, but things are looking up now and I'm on the mend.

As I write this the newsletter is almost completed, I'm waiting for a couple of pictures and another article and then this will be in the mail.

It is important that you choose your nominations for the Golden Note and Hall of Fame and Silver Quill as soon as possible, so that I can get the next Newsletter out with your voting papers.

We have some of the upcoming events listed on the events page, If any of you have events that you are doing please let me know before Feb. 20th and I will be glad to put it in the next news letter that will come out the first of March. Members are always wanting to find out when the gatherings are.

I want to thank Bobbie Hunter (Vice. Pres) and Ken Wellard (My roving reporter & crazy cousin)" it must run in the family." Without these two the news letter would be missing a lot of information. I cannot thank them enough for what they do. I also want to thank Gordon for the efforts he puts in to the Secretary job. Thanks again for everything.

I'll see you in Hagerman or else St. Anthony. Hopefully both.

Take Care, Linda (Pres.)
